He is doing great....people are still asking what happened so: Ernest has a broken pelvis which will fully recover after eight weeks of restricted moment. So he is confined to a large dog kennel. “Hi! I’m Sprout!” ~ Sprout 🌱 . We all cou “Hi! I’m Sprout!” ~ Sprout 🌱 . We all could use a story of encouragement and Sprout is just that. . Her Mom had a very hard vet assisted delivery, and ultimately Sprouts two sisters didn’t make it and she herself was very weak. We left her with her Mom for the first 24 hours, but Bree was so traumatized she showed little interest in her daughter. We were bottle feeding her Mom’s milk because she simply was too weak to stand. . Ultimately, we decided to move her into the house to see if we could save her, I was doubtful. Sprout dug deep and proved me wrong. . After spending so much time together, I figured out she is blind. She also has one ear that is turned inside out and her front legs are a bit crooked. . I am so glad she is here at our Safe Haven Farm. Little Sprout is going to flourish and have a very full and wonderful life. . Drop a 🌱💚 or anything GREEN!!! Because I bake the farm family special animal cookies and they go crazy for them! It’s sort of like feeding alligators only with a lot more fluffy cuteness and shenanigans. . “Nice to meet you world!” ~ Brie Baby #1 . Bri “Nice to meet you world!” ~ Brie Baby #1 . Brie had her babies today! Here is how it went... . Early labor started around 4am. I stayed with her in the barn because the entire process can go quite quickly and I didn’t want miss it. . Hard labor started about 9:45am. That poor girl worked long and hard for 2 1/2 hours. I knew by seeing how little progress there was - something was wrong. I called the vet and Dr.Dan came to the rescue. . One baby was trying to get out backwards, which stopped them all. Unfortunately, her placenta detached and she passed away inside of Brie. Dr. Dan pulled each baby out and the other two needed a little help breathing, but currently are doing well. . If I had waited 20 more minutes, we would have lost them all. Waiting 3 hours is the “normal” thing to do especially with multiple babies - I’m glad that my experience told me to make the call sooner. . Both girls, exactly the same colors as Agatha and Nora. The little black girl is weaker, but I am doing everything I can to keep her with Mom as well as strong. .
